About

The project

John 17:17 – Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

I was shown a platform braced by solid timbers—the truths of the Word of God. {EGW, 18LtMs, Lt 242, 1903, par. 8}

I entreat every one to be clear and firm regarding the certain truths that we have received and heard and advocated. The statements of God’s Word are plain. Plant your feet firmly on the platform of eternal truth. Reject every phase of error, even though it be covered with a semblance of reality, which denies the personality of God or of Christ. {EGW, 20LtMs, Ms 124, 1905, par. 12}

The Platform of Eternal Truth—which is first and foremost the Bible—gave rise to the name of this website: TruthPlatform.org. It is a collaborative project to present faith-based materials created by multiple ministries* awaiting the second Advent of the Son of God. Our aims are as follows:

  1. Combine our efforts in selecting and curating resources, thereby saving time and strengthening our collective impact. (See the participating ministries listed below.)
  2. By working together, we also seek to maintain a united online presence as a testimony to the world and to fellow believers that God unites us in faith. For this reason, we internally refer to this initiative as our “Testimony of Unity.” Our practice and goal are to make all decisions regarding the project—and the inclusion of materials presented here—unanimously.

We want this website to be a library of sharable truth—not only for others, but first and foremost for ourselves. For this reason, we thoroughly review all materials posted on this website.

We also publish materials from non-participating ministries—that is, ministries that are not part of this project. We stand behind the specific pieces of material from these ministries that are published on TruthPlatform.org. However, we do not necessarily endorse or recommend all of their other content found on their own websites or elsewhere. Each piece of content must be reviewed individually.

* Ministriesderived from the word “minister” (“to serve” as a verb or “servant” as a noun)refers to Christian missionary organizations whose purpose is to spread the Christian faith. This term distinguishes such organizations or movements from churches.

The denominational background

Our ministries include individuals who are current members, former members, or individuals who have never officially been part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We operate independently of the corporate Seventh-day Adventist Church. Due to trademark and copyright restrictions, we cannot formally use the name “Seventh-day Adventists.” Nevertheless, we hold the same faith as the original Sabbath-keeping Adventist pioneers, including Ellen G. White.

Our independent work is rooted in our commitment to the Platform of Truth—truths revealed by God in the Bible, formally established by the early pioneers, and confirmed by God through the writings of Ellen G. White and the gifts of the Spirit manifested through her. We believe that the corporate Seventh-day Adventist Church no longer stands fully upon this original foundation, as reflected, for example, in the rejection of the Fundamental Principles.

If you would like to support our work, we encourage you to visit the websites of the individual ministries to support them directly or to contact them there for further information on how you can help.

Languages: English, Spanish, German

Role: Founding and participating member of the project

Short Description:

The Word and the Testimony is a Honduras-based ministry active on the island of Roatán, as well as online. The ministry works with individuals who desire to grow in their understanding of Scripture and to deepen their relationship with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

There are two local groups of Father & Son believers who meet every Sabbath for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. In addition, a biweekly Zoom meeting is held for the purpose of reading through the Testimonies together and praying for special prayer requests.

The ministry also provides many videos on its YouTube channel covering a variety of topics, some of which are featured on this website. Its leaders are currently in the process of building a mission school founded upon the truths of the Bible as summarized in the Fundamental Principles of 1889, with the goal of training workers in medical missionary work.
